How it works

From a folder of files to a course you can open.

  1. Bring what you have

    A syllabus, slide decks, PDFs, up to 50 files. Or two sentences about the course. The pictures in your PDFs come out too, and you pick the ones to use.

  2. Read the plan, change anything

    The whole course on one page: sections, activities, questions. Rename, reorder, swap a quiz for a discussion, or split a big folder into several courses. Nothing is written yet.

  3. Approve, and it is added

    Each piece is written for you to read and redo. Then the course goes in hidden, in the category you choose, with questions in the question bank, grades in the gradebook and completion tracking on.

Not a startup with an idea about education.

MagiCastor is built by LdesignMedia in The Hague, by people who have spent eighteen years installing, theming, hosting and rescuing Moodle sites. The plan step exists because we have all had to unpick somebody else’s badly built course.

You will not find customer logos here. The product is new and we have not earned any yet. A row of borrowed badges is the oldest trick in educational software. More about us.

Which platforms does it work with?

Moodle today, from 4.5 LTS to 5.3. It installs as a local plugin and only offers activity types your site has enabled. If H5P is off, it will not plan H5P.

Can it create anything without me approving it?

No. Reading your material and drafting the plan change nothing on your site. Nothing is added until you choose to add it, and a new course arrives hidden until you publish it.

Is our material used to train AI models?

No. What you upload is used to write your course. It is not used to train any model, ours or a supplier’s, and it is never shared with other customers.
